62nd Shri Hari Krishi and Udyog Pradarshini – Day I

The first day of 62nd Annual Shri Hari Pradashini which focueses on promoting Sustainable Agriculture, Sustainable Tourism.

The main feature of Day I was taking a large number of farmers, men and women, to a visit of Sarmoli Herbal Garden that is being developed collaboratively by the civil society, Dabur Research Division and the Herbal Development Research Institute ( HRDI), Gopeshwar/Munsyari.

More than 150 farmers drawn from a large number of villages, including many who came from neighbouring Bageshwar district enhusiaticall participated n Day function.

The accompanying photgraphs show some scenes from Day I event, as also some local women still busy collecting grasses for the winter, whe the cattle need fodder, with the village under snow.

Detailed Report of the Annual Pradarshini will be sent after the exhibition is over.

On Day II, at Malla Dummar day long events will cover Hill Agriculture and Discusion of the Migrants experiences after they have come down from the 15 snow-bound villages of Malla Johar region.

Director of Vivekanand Krishi Anusnadhanshal, Almora Dr Pattanayaka will be the chief Guest and he will be hill agriculture problems and issues with the hill farmres. A large number of Vivekanand scientists are accompanying him and a stall is also on display at the Exhibition site.

This Annaul Exhibition is held every year on fix days in the memory of the Freedom Gighters produced from the Jhar-Munsyari region, via Shri Hari Jangpangi, a grea freedom fighter.

Cultural programmes are held every evening and several events are held durig three days.
